About the Stay Mentally Health (SMH) Initiative
Stay Mentally Healthy (SMH) is an initiative that is open to anyone struggling with their mental health and on a low income. Developed through Mary's desire to ensure accessible service provision for all, to end mental health suffering and share the knowledge that we all have the tools within us to help ourselves - we just need to know how.
Read Julie's story, a women who accessed the SMH initiative. Having tried traditional therapy but with no end to the daily struggle and suffering she'd given up all hope, a story Mary hears all too often.
What is the 'Stay Mentally Healthy' (SMH) initiative?
The Stay Mentally Healthy Initiative is now available at the SEJ Wellbeing Centre.
The Stay Mentally Healthy initiative is about making life-changing SEJ training and services accessible to everyone. Whenever you see our SMH logo on our services and events offered at the SEJ Wellbeing Centre, it signifies an opportunity for you to apply for low cost funded services and events provided by our trusted independent service providers.
The initiative allows you to access reduced fees for one-on-one appointments, workshops and events. Our approach now undertaken through the initiative allows you the freedom to not only access more services and events, but also choose an independent service provider that best fits your needs.
All the SMH services and events are designed to give you the skills to 'stay mentally healthy' and reach your full and true potential, whilst also aiding in the recovery of mild to moderate mental health issues.
Our goal is to provide quicker access to self-help services to support individuals currently struggling with their mental health, on a low income, experiencing long wait times or do not meet the criteria to access NHS therapy services.
To ensure inclusion and accessibility you can self-refer to all our services. We also offer our services both online and in person, and of course low cost funded services for those on a low income and struggling with their mental health.
Wherever you see the Stay Mentally Healthy logo included in our event or service descriptions, you are eligible to apply for a low cost funded service or event. Additionally, if the logo appears as the primary image for a service or event, it indicates that the offering is specifically designed for those currently struggling with their mental health. We aim to keep these services and events priced as low as possible or donation-based.
We host a variety of events and services tailored specifically for the Stay Mentally Healthy community. I encourage you to visit our events and services page to explore these opportunities and find out more about how we can support you.
If you have any questions regarding our programs or the application process for low cost funded services, please do not hesitate to reach out.
